Environment

Planting trees, cleaning communities, and teaching climate literacy — we’re raising a generation that cares for the planet they’ll inherit.

Climate Mitigation & Environmental Sustainability

PLANETEERS

Slogan: “Let our POWERS combine!”

At Yayotse, we recognize the role young people can play in driving climate action and sustainable development. PLANETEERS – the descriptive name for our environmental stewards – is a response to the growing need to equip young people with knowledge, tools, and a sense of responsibility toward environmental stewardship.

PLANETEERS is designed as a youth-led initiative that empowers children and adolescents to become active agents of change for climate action and environmental sustainability rooted variously in SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG13 (Climate Action), SDG14 (Life below Water) and SDG15 (Life on Land).

At a time when the effects of climate change and environmental degradation are increasingly visible through severe flooding, deforestation, pollution, and poor sanitation, Yayotse is committed to raising a generation of environmentally conscious young people to champion climate action, sustainability, and ecological responsibility in their communities.

As PLANETEERS, we pledge to promote climate and environmental education, encourage sustainable practices at school, home, and community levels, reduce plastic and waste pollution through awareness and action, promote green ecology, and foster leadership in climate advocacy.
