And it’s time to return to the soul of our culture for values-based development, for in the past lies our path to redeeming our heritage, lost identity, and pride.
Ajɛsiwɔ the Dangme word for ‘heritage’ is a bold return to the essence of our traditional society to imbibe in the younger generation the culture, traditions norms and values and get them to appreciate, promote and protect these assets as bridge between our ancestral wisdom and future aspiration.
Ajɛsiwɔ Cultural Ensemble
Through the Ajɛsiwɔ Cultural Ensemble we are teaching the young ones to preserve our heritage and be proud of their identity through the performance of traditional music, drumming, dancing, and spoken word. Let us return to our roots, not just to remember, but to rebuild.
