Girls’ Empowerment Programs
Through mentorship and leadership workshops, we help girls build self-worth, stay in school, and take charge of their futures.
Girls Empowerment
The program runs two (2) projects, ‘Beauty with Brain’ (BwB) and ‘Live my Dream’ (LmD) in accordance with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

Beauty with Brain (BwB)
Beauty with Brain (BwB) is a structured, safe, and empowering initiative that equips girls with quality information, education, and the confidence, knowledge, and skills necessary to succeed in accordance with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
Adolescent girls in many communities face a high risk of school dropout due to early pregnancy, poverty, and limited access to accurate information and guidance. Many become trapped in cycles of silence, misinformation, and missed opportunities. These challenges often derail their education, threaten their future, and perpetuate generational vulnerability.
‘Beauty with Brain’ (BwB) is Yayotse’s proactive intervention designed to break these cycles and help girls thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, paving the way for a safer and brighter future.
The program is part of Yayotse’s broader mission to transform lives through education, empowerment, and development. It specifically targets girls aged 10-20, addressing their unique challenges and providing them with the tools to make informed decisions and stay on the path to success.
Specifically, BwB aims to:
- Prevent school dropout resulting from teenage pregnancy.
- Provide accurate information on education, Sexual Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR), and personal well-being.
- Promote academic success through tutoring, mentoring, and academic support.
- Foster confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills among participants.
- Support long-term career exploration, planning, and goal setting.

Live my Dream (LmD)
The Live my Dream (LmD) initiative is to renew the hopes of young girls who, unfortunately, due to the happenstance of becoming pregnant drop out of school to avoid stigmatisation, and do not return because of them having to child-parent their new-borns with its attendant responsibilities on these inexperienced, young girls who may have fallen prey to the allures of their fellow age mates or adult-men under the pressure of factors, including economic ones.
Some of these young girls are unable to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), while those fortunate to do, are rendered incapable of furthering their education to Senior High School / Technical Vocational Education and Training (SHS/TVET) level by virtue of the burden of responsibilities imposed on them by their parental status, mostly without any support system, either from family, or the young boy or man responsible.
It is in response to this menace that ‘Live my Dream’ (LmD) has been designed as a restitution program for these young girls who have dropped out of school or discontinued their education due to pregnancy, or childbirth or teenage parenting but are willing, passionate, and reoriented to get back to school.
The Objectives of LmD are to:
- Restitute and reintegrate the teenage mother, who dropped out of school, back into school.
- Provide holistic support, considering their educational needs and the welfare of their babies.
- Offer counselling and mentorship services to address the emotional and psychological challenges they may experience, primarily related to stigmatization and low self-esteem.
- Facilitate access to reproductive health education to prevent future pregnancies and support their overall well-being.
- Implement life skills training to equip these girls with essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and build a better future.
- Teach financial literacy and introduce basic entrepreneurship skills.
